My name is Camille Becerra, I'm a chef and restaurateur in NYC. 
 
I formerly owned a restaurant called 
Paloma.  It was a neighborhood restaurant that offered a daily changing menu reflective of the current availability of local product and the creativity of its staff.  A fire last November shuttered it's doors.  I’m currently consulting on restaurants, writing recipes and cooking at various dinner parties.  I've recently set up this site to journal my culinary adventures.  I was given the opportunity to be on Top Chef during it's 3rd season and I learned about the workings of television based media and as well as establishing many friendships.  I’m a single mother living in Brooklyn.  My daughter's name is Paloma, she's eight and loves putting sweet plantains in her tacos.
